District 21's Only Workshop Club - Dedicated to Longer Presentations
Speakers Advantage offers a unique format, in that a large portion of our monthly meeting is reserved for the presentation of member workshops, potentially on any topic of use to youth or adults. Our members thus receive superior feedback from seasoned Toastmasters (themselves accomplished stage presenters) prior to entering the public sphere with untested material. Our members are generally drawn from the Club Executive level in their home clubs, with a generous helping of former (and current) Area Directors, Division Directors, and District Officers. We also have time each month for two keynote speeches, a model parliamentary session, and yes, even Table Topics.
To become a presenting member, the Competent Communicator designation is highly recommended. (Despite our friendly and collegial atmosphere, our evaluations are not for beginners.)
No speaking skills are necessary to be a member of our workshop audiences, but reservations are required. Please e-mail kls-exp@shaw.ca to claim a spot at our next meeting.
